Indigenous Portfolio Boards and Committees – Board Candidate Register

NIAA maintains a Register of candidates interested in Ministerial appointments including to Indigenous portfolio and other boards and committees, and welcomes skilled professionals to submit an expression of interest.

We are seeking candidates with expertise in Indigenous Affairs, strong leadership, business and financial management, governance and strategic planning, to be considered for inclusion on the Board Candidate Register.

Experience in managing large complex operations and a commitment to organisational governance are essential. A strong commercial background or working with Indigenous community organisations and businesses, as well as previous board experience, will be highly regarded.

Your relevant skills and experience will contribute to closing the gap on Indigenous disadvantage through setting the strategic agenda for various Indigenous portfolio bodies.

We encourage people with diverse experience and backgrounds to register their interest as a potential candidate. This includes but is not limited to: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex people; Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people; mature age and people with disability.

We invite you to register your interest by using the board candidate registration form.

The Agency may use your information to assess your suitability for placement on the Board Candidate Register. The Register is used to provide Portfolio Ministers with a selection of highly qualified candidates for consideration as appointment opportunities arise.

Please note: Registering your interest does not guarantee placement on the Register. Placement on the Register does not guarantee you will be considered for any particular appointment.

    Remuneration
