Cadetships support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students through paid work-placement opportunities during the course of their study.
Employers looking to support and employ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students as ‘cadets’ can apply for Cadetship funding through the Tailored Assistance Employment Grant (TAEG) process. Employers advertise cadetship opportunities through their own recruitment channels, including universities.
Students can find opportunities for work-placement support through the usual recruitment channels. Their university’s Indigenous support centre may also advertise opportunities.
