Malak Malak Land Management Rangers

The Malak Malak Land Management Rangers are active in managing invasive weed infestations across 30,000 hectares of land, bordering the iconic Daly River.

Nationally significant weeds such as mimosa, parkinsonia, salvinia and gamba and grader grasses are all targeted annually by the rangers, who have had success in reducing the area of infestations.

Other ranger activities include feral animal management, fire management, environmental monitoring, cultural support, sacred site protection and compliance.
