A formative evaluation of the Adult Through Care and Youth Through Care programs will assess providers’ implementation of the co-designed model. It will consider to what extent the model is based on best-practice and is being delivered in a culturally-safe and trauma–informed manner, and, is addressing client needs and government policy objectives. The evaluation will also look at the extent to which the programs are contributing to clients successfully breaking contact with the justice system and integrating into the community post-incarceration. Information collection through the evaluation will assist in refining and updating data collection for both the Adult Through Care and Youth Through Care programs in order to accurately and meaningfully monitor outcomes and program performance.
