National NAIDOC Awards 2021

An in-person National NAIDOC Awards gala ceremony will not be held this year as a result of ongoing travel uncertainty due to COVID-19.

The 2021 National NAIDOC Award winners will now be announced online and in conjunction with NAIDOC’s media partners and key stakeholders.

This year’s winners will be announced on Wednesday 1 December.

The National NAIDOC Awards acknowledge the outstanding contributions and excellence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across ten award categories covering fields of art, education and training, sport, environment and leadership.

The NAIDOC Committee will soon start work on the 2022 Awards Ceremony where it is hoped the in-person gala event will return.

The 2022 NAIDOC Theme and 2022 focus city will also be announced in December.
