Celebrate NAIDOC Week. Voice. Treaty. Truth. 7 - 14 July 2019

This year, NAIDOC Week will run from 7 – 14 July with hundreds of individual celebrations held around Australia.

They will highlight the histories, rich cultures, and outstanding achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The Australian Government has supported organisations to hold over 700 community events in all states and territories with many of the events focused on the theme: ‘Voice. Treaty. Truth – Let’s work together for a shared future.’

The week commences with the National NAIDOC Awards Ceremony in Canberra on 6 July to recognise the outstanding contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in their communities and beyond.

This year’s Awards will be hosted by media personalities Sean Choolburra and Elaine Crombie with entertainment featuring performances by Mi-Kaisha Masella, Dan Sultan, Casey Donovan, David Williams, Eip Karem Beizam, Christine Anu, Philly MC, Jimblah and the Merindas.

The event will be broadcast live on NITV (Ch. 34) or on NITV On Demand beginning at 6.30pm.
