The Minister for Indigenous Australians, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM, MP, has announced the commencement of a co-design process to develop local, regional and national elements of an Indigenous voice.

To oversee the process, Minister Wyatt is establishing a Senior Advisory Group to co-design options for a model that will ensure Indigenous Australians are heard at all levels. The Senior Advisory Group will be co-chaired by Indigenous leaders Professor Tom Calma AO and Professor Dr Marcia Langton AM.

The co-design process will consist of two stages to firstly develop and then refine models to enhance local and regional decision making and set out the detail of a national voice ahead of a final recommendation to Government.
