2024-2029 National Skills Agreement (NSA)

Action description: 

The NSA was agreed by all governments in October 2023, and commenced on 1 January 2024. Closing the Gap is an inaugural national priority of the NSA and included as a specific policy initiative, with up to $214 million in additional Commonwealth investment of over the life of the NSA to help overcome the entrenched inequality faced by many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people so that their life outcomes are equal to all Australians. Through greater participation, increased attainment and completion of VET qualifications to obtain culturally safe and meaningful employment, the NSA supports the four Priority Reforms of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
