The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) was established on 1 July 2019. Prior to this the functions of the Agency were delivered by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C). Please be aware that while we work through this transition some content may reference PM&C. Some links may also direct you to the PM&C website where services are still provided by the Department.

Compensation for Detriment Caused by Defective Administration (CDDA Scheme)

To apply for compensation for detriment caused by defective administration (CDDA) to the National Indigenous Australian Agency, complete the CDDA claim form and attach all relevant documentation to support your claim.

The NIAA has a low tolerance for fraud, we recognise that not all fraud risks can be avoided or prevented. However, we do not tolerate dishonest or fraudulent behaviour and will take all reasonable steps necessary to prevent, detect and respond to fraud and corruption. We take all allegations of fraud seriously.
