Australian Army Proud Warrior Program

Action description: 

The Australian Army contributes to the Proud Warrior program which aims To accommodate groups of ‘at-risk’ youths, aged between 14 and 18 to participate in military style activities that promote physical and mental health, develop team work and social skills, and connect the youths with Indigenous community leaders, community services and mentors. Partnered with Queensland Police Service, Department of Youth Justice, Department of Child Safety, Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Australian Army Cadets and local Indigenous community elders, with additional support provided by Sunbus, Education Queensland and Unity Care.
