Better Connectivity Plan for Regional and Rural Australia

Action description: 

The Plan provides for major upgrades of the National Broadband Network (NBN) and funding for rural and regional telecommunications infrastructure, including multi carrier mobile expansion ($400 million), local connectivity ($200 million), farm-based solutions ($30 million), national mobile coverage audit ($20 million) and further funding for Regional Tech Hub ($6 million). The $160 million combined grant opportunity for Regional Connectivity Program Round 3 and Mobile Black Spot Program Round 3 opened on 20 March 2023, Applications are due by 12 July 2023.
