Data project - access to legal assistance

Action description: 

The Attorney General's Department is working with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to collect data on people accessing legal assistance services (Schedule D of the 2020-2025 National Legal Assistance Partnership Agreement (NLAP)). This will be a long-term project and will ultimately include collection of data on the number of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients accessing legal assistance and the type of service accessed. The aim is for the final reports to be aggregated and published on the ABS website.
