Disability Employment Services (DES)

Action description: 

Disability Employment Services (DES) help people with disability, including Indigenous job seekers, to prepare for, find and keep a job. DES Providers are a mix of large, medium and small for-profit and not-for-profit organisations experienced in supporting people with disability, as well as providing assistance to employers to support employees with disability in the workplace. As at 30 June 2022, 3,977 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth were receiving DES services. In the 2021-22 financial year, 68 First Nations youth achieved a 26 week education outcome, 731 achieved a 26 week employment outcome and 380 achieved a 52 week employment outcome.
