Empowered Communities

Action description: 

Empowered Communities leaders and the Commonwealth are working together in 10 regions, with further work underway to establish partnership arrangements with Empowered Communities leaders and the Commonwealth and state and territory governments across all ten sites.
In 2022-23 Empowered Communities and NIAA continued our shared decision making process on future funding under the Indigenous Advancement Strategy (IAS), bringing the total grants considered through this approach to over 310 activities valued at over $190 million since 2017.
