Health outcomes are improved by involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in risk management planning for water on Country used for recreational, cultural and spiritual purposes.

Action description: 

A risk management framework is being drafted for inclusion in the updated Guidelines for Managing Risks in Recreational Water. The draft framework specifically recommends actively involving First Nations communities in risk management planning to ensure their voices and traditional knowledge is acknowledged and considered when keeping people safe from water on Country.
