Mental health workforce

Action description: 

Boost and strengthen the mental health workforce to ensure equitable access to services. The National Mental Health Workforce Strategy (Strategy) has been endorsed by Health Ministers and is expected to be published in early 2023. First Nations mental health and suicide prevention workers are identified as a priority profession under the National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Agreement. A number of programs, informed by the Strategy, are being implemented to boost the mental health workforce.
