Action description:
The Government is providing up to 5,000 bursaries under National Teacher Workforce Action Plan targeted at a number of eligible cohorts, including First Nations people. The bursaries have been re-named the Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships. Applications for Round One closed on 14 January 2024. Applications are currently being assessed and conditional offers will be made to successful applicants commencing initial teacher education programs in 2024 from late March 2024. Up to 1,000 scholarships are available in Round One.
