The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS)

Action description: 

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS) aims to increase the capacity of the First Nations health workforce through activities that promote and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples studying in health disciplines. Variation of the existing PHMSS In the 2022-23 Budget Measure, the Australian Government agreed to fund an additional $13.9 million for this scheme over 2 financial years from 2022-2023 to 2023-2024 to extend the program and to increase the number of scholarships by up to 150 scholarships per year.
