Trusted Indigenous Facilitator Program / Elder Care Support (ECS)

Action description: 

Work in collaboration with the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) to support a staged roll-out of the Elder Care Support Program, engaging 250 people to provide trusted face-to-face support and assist older First Nations people and families better navigate and access care. Elder Care Support (ECS).

Delivery timeframe: 
A contract for services with NACCHO to deliver the Trusted Indigenous Facilitator program was executed on 22 June 2022. The first tranche of Trusted Indigenous Facilitators will commence facilitation services in April 2023 with all 250 expected to be implemented across the country by July 2024.
