Asyrikarrak Kirim Rangers

The Asyrikarrak Kirim Rangers are based in Peppimenarti in the Daly River region of the Northern Territory, where there are wetlands comprising of floodplains and billabongs that are teeming with wildlife.

The ranger team currently consists of five full-time rangers, whose main tasks include weed and feral animal control, prescribed burning, cultural site maintenance, community awareness programs and having a visible presence on country.

Their operational environment has minimal degradation, and the rangers aim to keep it that way by practising sound traditional ecological management combined with contemporary scientific methods.

Visitors are welcome at the ranger station - feel free to drop in!
