We want your feedback on RJED Rounds 1 and 2

Remote Jobs and Economic Development program

During 2024 and 2025, the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) held two grant rounds for the Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) program, resulting in approximately 1450 jobs new jobs in remote Australia.

Before we open future grant rounds for the RJED program, we want to hear from anyone who applied, interacted with us during these grant periods or is affected by the RJED program and has suggestions about how we can improve.

What do we want to know?

The NIAA is seeking feedback on all areas of the application process, including:

  • Any challenges you faced while applying for RJED, including writing and completing the application
  • If you found the support that was available useful (RJED Helpdesk and Grant Writing Support Service)?
  • Did we advertise and promote RJED effectively?
  • What resources and tools were helpful?

Feedback is welcome from all individuals, including those who considered applying, potential employers and employees, individuals, community members or local organisations.

Provide your feedback

How would you best describe yourself/your organisation?
If you found the application process difficult, which areas were hard?
How do you prefer to receive information?
What support would you like to see for future RJED grant rounds?
