Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

Communicating with Indigenous communities

The Australian Government is providing funding to First Nations Media Australia (FNMA) to help the First Nations broadcasting and media sector distribute government messaging about COVID-19.

The funding will also support local broadcasters to produce and broadcast health and safety materials to address local issues, concerns and misinformation. It will also help broadcasters engage the support of local elders and leaders to pass on the importance and gravity of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shareable resources

There are a number of information sheets, videos and content tailored for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander audiences produced by reputable sources, including materials in local languages.
