This project aims to consider the impact of Aboriginal community control through the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services sector on health outcomes for Aboriginal people in Central Australia over the past 50 plus years and improve Aboriginal people’s well-being and pride through the sharing of their own and their families’ achievements.
The project will support Central Australian Aboriginal Congress to continue development of its digital portal through a range of archival, content development and community engagement activities. This work will contribute to the strengthening of health and well-being for individuals, families and communities in Central Australia by drawing on historical best practice, including the development of a knowledge translation approach to improve understanding of the role and impact of Aboriginal community control on Aboriginal health outcomes among Aboriginal health leaders, practitioners, researchers and community members.
