Consultation
The Strategy was informed by a comprehensive consultation process. Consultation opened on 31 May 2024 and ran for ten weeks, providing stakeholders with time to consider the issues and share their feedback. Face‑to‑face consultation sessions were held during July and August 2024.
Strategy development partners prepared a discussion paper based on eight key focus areas that impact the remote food system:
- Country
- Health
- Housing
- Families and Community Infrastructure
- Stores
- Supply Chains
- Healthy Economies
- Policies, Practice and Governance
The discussion paper was designed to support stakeholders to share their views on the development of the Strategy.
More than 500 people participated in forums and discussions across 31 locations, and over 25 written submissions were received.
