Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) program jobs and projects
The Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) program is creating 3,000 jobs with real wages, and conditions including superannuation and leave, for people living in remote communities. It works by eligible employers applying for funding to pay for wages and equipment so they can create new jobs and hire local people.
This document lists organisations with grant agreements in place through the RJED program so far, including information on how many jobs they’ve been funded to create and a summary of their project.
This information is split by NIAA region and covers Greater Western Australia, Kimberley, South Australia, Central Australia, Top End and Tiwi Islands, Arnhem Land and Groote Eylandt, New South Wales, North Queensland and South Queensland. The reference to locations/region numbers corresponds to the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) regions.
