Our Transfer and Higher Duties Opportunities Register is open to all current ongoing APS employees who are interested in temporary or permanent roles.

The intention:

  • to allow NIAA to readily access suitable candidates in response to high priority and urgent projects
  • to provide individuals with development opportunities to work across emerging issues within a fast paced, challenging and unique operating context
  • candidates are also able to apply for short-term acting opportunities at a higher classification through this process.

All of our positions are Identified roles which means candidates must have an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and proven culturally appropriate engagement and communication skills.

You can express your interest by completing the online application form and identifying the appropriate classification level/s from APS Level 2 to Executive Level 2 classifications, the locations, the skillsets most closely aligned with your experience and whether you are seeking a permanent or temporary transfer.

  1. Positions may be full-time or part-time depending on business needs and requirements.
