The National Indigenous Australians Agency's (NIAA) Annual Report 2025-26 has been tabled in Parliament, outlining the agency's work and performance over the past financial year.

The report highlights how the NIAA has continued to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, organisations and governments to support better outcomes for First Nations Australians across key priorities, including Closing the Gap, remote housing, food security, employment and environmental stewardship.

Key achievements included responding to fuel shortages in remote communities, supporting the delivery of 179 new homes in remote Northern Territory communities, improving access to affordable and healthy food in remote areas, and expanding employment opportunities through the Remote Jobs and Economic Development program.

The report also highlights the growth of the Indigenous Rangers Program, with funding for 82 additional ranger groups, bringing the national total to 320.

The Annual Report includes the agency's performance results and financial statements for 2025-26.
