IAS Funding Agreement
Under the IAS, funding recipients sign a Head Agreement with the Commonwealth, as represented by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA). The Head Agreement sets out the general terms and conditions applying to all projects and grants.
Community Initiated Proposals
Under the IAS, the NIAA considers grant proposals that address a need for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Proposals must be developed with the community or group who will be impacted by the activity.

Data collection for the Petrol Sniffing Prevention Program: report summary
This is a summary report on baseline data relating to petrol sniffing in 74 remote communities which initially began using Opal Fuel. This contains data collected between September 2005 and February 2007.
Evaluation of the Impact of Opal fuel: Executive summary
This report is an executive summary of the evaluation of the impact of Opal fuel on the prevalence of petrol sniffing in selected communities. This contains data collected between March and May 2008.

Petrol sniffing is a form of volatile substance use and can cause a number of serious health impacts, including brain damage or death. This can have a major effect in communities where petrol sniffing is a problem and on the families who live there.
