Framlingham Forest IPA
Framlingham Forest Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) was dedicated in 2009. It covers 1,130 hectares of native forests in south-west Victoria. It is the largest remnant of stringybark and manna gum savannah that once dominated the landscape around the town Warrnambool.
Deen Maar IPA
The Deen Maar Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) is located on the south-west coast of Victoria near the town of Yambuk. It was dedicated in 1999. This IPA covers 453 hectares of rolling sand dunes, limestone ridges, a river, lake and wetlands.
Muru-warinyi Ankkul Rangers
The Muru-Warinyi Ankkul Rangers are based at Tennant Creek in the Barkly region. They work in partnership with local traditional owners, pastoralists and the Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory to ensure sustainable land management outcomes.
Watarru IPA
The Watarru Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) was dedicated in 2000. It covers 1.2 million hectares on in the south-western corner of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. The country lies in the Great Victoria Desert, the traditional lands of the Anangu.
Katiti-Petermann IPA, Kaltukatjara Rangers and Mutijulu Tjakura Rangers
The Katiti-Petermann Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) was dedicated in 2015. It is managed by the Central Land Council's Kaltukatjara Rangers and Mutijulu Tjakura Rangers. This IPA spans five million hectares.
Anmatyerr Rangers
The Anmatyerr Rangers are based at Ti Tree, which is approximately halfway between Tennant Creek and Alice Springs. They are strong advocates for the conservation of Indigenous knowledge.
Angas Downs IPA
Dedicated in 2009, the Angas Downs Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) is located south of Alice Springs. It stretches across more than 320,000 hectares of former pastoral land in Australia’s red centre.
Wilinggin IPA and Wunggurr Rangers
The Wilinggin Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) covers 2.4 million hectares of remote and rugged country in the central north Kimberley. It includes basalt ranges and sandstone cliffs, which rise up to 250 metres high. There are also wooded grasslands and pockets of rainforests.

Wardang Island Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) dedicated in 2015. It covers 3,930 hectares including:
Walalkara IPA
Walalkara Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) was dedicated in 2000, and covers an area of 700,000 hectares in the Great Victorian Desert. The area is the traditional home of the Pitjantjatjara, Ngaanyatjarra and Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal peoples, known as the Anangu.
Riverland Rangers
The Riverland Rangers work primarily on Calperum and Taylorville Stations. These are located in the north-eastern section of the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin.
Antara - Sandy Bore IPA
Antara – Sandy Bore Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) was dedicated in 2011. It and covers more than 846,000 hectares of arid Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in north-west South Australia.
Uunguu IPA and Rangers
In 2011 the Wunambal Gaambera people dedicated Stage One of the Uunguu Indigenous Protected Area (IPA). This is located in the north Kimberley – one of the most spectacular land and seascapes in the world. Stage Two was declared in 2015 and the IPA now covers over 759,806 hectares.
Paruku IPA and Rangers
The Paruku Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) borders the Great Sandy and Tanami deserts and is south of Halls Creek. Covering around 430,000 hectares it includes a collection of wetlands known as Paruku (Lake Gregory).
Nyul Nyul Rangers
The Nyul Nyul Rangers are located about 120 kilometres north of Broome on the Middle Dampier Peninsula at Beagle Bay. They look after approximately 350,000 hectares of land and sea country. This country includes delicate coastal habitats, monsoon vine thickets, and inland wetlands and springs.
